Tonnes of Updates
I’m writing this entry in word doc now. There’s no free internet access in Cairo and it costs a bomb to get online too. Egyptian pound 160 = SGD44 for 24 hours (SIAO AH…) Sigh… my body is still set at SIN time. Wide awake at 3am (SIN 8am) ~_~ So I better make my time useful, right? ^_^
My Holiday
So after this CAI flight, I’ll be on leave for about 3 weeks! WOO HOO!!! 3 cheers for freedom, love, & fun!! Actually, I feel that my holiday has already started ever since Jon had 2 weeks of must-leave leave (15-29Apr). We had so much fun together.
COOK CoOk cOoK!!!
Have been trying out few dishes from Jon and his mom recently. Lets see what have we eaten!
Wafer Ice cream
Hershey Choc + Milk mix!!! *roll eyes*
Katsu Don (Got standard one...)
Melon Soup (The gua that looks like shark fin)
SPOA Restaurant
Went to this restaurant in Malaysia for seafood. It was raining so heavily that we couldn’t really see what’s in front of us while driving. The seafood is good. Delicious and fresh. & I realise this place was featured by Michelle Chia and Adrian Peng on Yummy King. (Is that yummy king?)
Oishi Pizza
The pizza with a twist of Japanese taste? Sounds weird? But they’re tasty. After that combo meal for 2, I warned Jon that we’re really eating too much. Further overfeeding will make me burst my kebaya soon. Hence, we’re aiming to eat less, and pick the healthier choices. I’ve come to a conclusion that we should cut down on “better food”. Cuz the better food we had are usually more unhealthy, cuz our better food is usually more oily and most importantly they’re more expensive. So chin cai eat lar… ^_^ as long as there’s nothing to complain.
Kameo
I stop playing Need for Speed CARBON for some time cuz Jon is becoming more and more expert in it and I’m always lagging behind him to “smell carbon”. So we started another game, Kameo. From co-op, we switched to playing SOLO. I dun really play this game now cuz I have upgraded to become Jon’s Kameo advisor! It’s something like my papa sitting beside his student giving instructions, watch out for safety, & telling you where to turn. HAHAHA! Well, this game is fun but my coordinating skill is an obstacle to gaming. How I move is not what I actually want to move. Kekeke! I move ½ beat slower from I see. ~_~ So I always ‘die’ earlier in the game. =P I created this teamwork thing whereby after killing some monsters, I’ll pass on to Jon to kill the more powerful monster. Li hai ba?
Jurong Point
On the last day of Jon’s leave, we went to Jurong Point. No car, no bike. We went there by MRT! Not a big place but we spent almost half a day there. Let’s see what we have done.
Mario Kart!
We got interested in this arcade game ever since we played it at Bishan J8. Purpose to Jurong Point is actually to stop the game addiction of Mario Kart. Now we have our own Mario Kart CARD! Sigh, I’m always in the second place. Looks at the items I have ~_~
OTO Trimax
Due to the Mother’s Day promotion, I’ve gotten a good deal at OTO Jurong Point! Not for mom thou. At $288, I brought home the 2nd generation OTO Trimax + the OTO Spinner as a free gift. Purpose of purchase – to move the lazy muscles when we’re at home. We always plan to go out for a walk or exercise and even golf, but eventually we stayed at home and laze.
Our lives with Nintendo Wii! *claps*
29Apr07 marks the arrival of our Wii we bought at Jurong Point too! Didn’t know I can hang myself with games for so long! & this is the coolest console I’ve ever played. Playing tennis games is no longer pressing up down left right + A or B to hit, it’s about swinging your controller like how you’ll hit a tennis ball! Good exercise for lazy people like us. The baseball game is the ultimate game for exercise too. You have to swing the controller VERY hard to make a home run. As for boxing, I dunno what am I hitting. ~_~ *Sweat* MY favourite Wii Sports game is bowling. Cuz it’s the only game I can win Jon at times! Hahaha! & My Sonic will only attack when I move my controller forward! It moves left and right when I tilt my controller left and right! Amazing right?

After effect of Wii – We got muscle ache! In short, our muscles moved!

Leave a memo using your Wii Mii!
Our 1st play. We had so much fun ^_^
Back in Cairo
I joined the sightseeing crew for partial tours this time round. This second trip is a better one as I have some background gained during my last trip and am able to share some of the things and experience with the 1st timer crew. This bunch of crew is better than the last as they’re more willing to look around unlike the last bunch who only aims to take pictures. *roll eyes* This time round, I took pictures at places I miss my shot last trip. & we're like bunch of old friends out for a post-graduation vacation. CheerS!
At the bazaar. The walkway is under renovation now. I hope it will be more walkable for the people in future. I bought 2 pashmina for Jon's mom at SGD$11.50 for 2.
The ka-kis from left to right --> Emily, Patrick, Haisiang, & Ling Ying.
On my second visit, I become the assistant for the interpreter on how papyrus paper is made. Doing it the Egyptian way. Gonna squeeze out the juice in the papyrus!
This is the place where I bought my art piece. I think I am getting slightly better at bargaining. Looking at how the people carrot-headed the ang mohs, I truly think that I am smarter! Kekeke* They’re earning still, just that it’s lesser. Ok what, I am giving them business. But heard from other crew it used to be even cheaper for size bigger than mine. ~_~
The papyrus art I eyed during my last trip. The story of love and happiness.
Finally went for the Light & Sound (Pyramids in the night) We dun have any official tickets to get into the seats as there's a last minute private event and they cancel all public entrance. TMD~ So we went up to the Pizzahut KFC moon deck and waited. & TADAH! We had a free show! Free show must give and take lar. We dun have explanations of the making of the pyramids in English and we can't really see the pictures from the screen. But we have the laser and lighting effects & tonnes of photos to compensate our lost.
Light & Sound of the Pyramids!
Thanks to Haisiang, we have some nice photos to share.
My camera night mode also not bad. It's taken by placing the camera on the still railings and shoot using timer mode. HAHA! Good huh?
