I'M SpecS-LeSs!!!

3 cheers to 6/6 and 20/20 eyesight. I've finally said goodbye to my emeral green frame and now I'm free from astigmatism and myopia!!! Hmmm... thou I do complain to Jon that it's still not sharp enough, Doc and Jon said I have to give my eyes some time to stablize the eyesight. Hopefully it's near to or perfect in one month's time. *I shall be patient and WAIT...

Day 1, 15 Aug - Waiting to get the eye tests done... Series of tests like checking the degree, pressure of the eyeballs, taking images of the cornea, etc... After the tests, I was briefed together with a couple of other candidates, by the nurses on the aftercare for lasik. No hair & face wash for first 2 days, no eye makeup until after 7 days, safe to travel by air until after 5th day, etc. Next I get to see Doc & he told me I'll be undergoing Wavefront surgery. & We made payments after that. Total damage -> $100 for eye tests. About $100 for 6 boxes of Refresh Plus. The surgery cost is about $3500...

Day 2 , 16 Aug - Jon's papa accompanied me to the clinic for the surgery cuz Jon had to work. Didn't take any pics thou, I'll just show you some of the photos taken during Jon's operation on 2 Aug. The procedure is the same. ^_^

The pretty nurses will bring to this waiting room with a nice lazy-boy and curtain drawn to seperate you from others . Talking about the nurses, everytime it's a different girl talking to you and they are pretty. She'll ask you to send the consent form, brief you on the usage of the medication in the goodie-bag, & DON u up like this. Pardon me, the gowns are all free-size. Jon looks funny in them. Next thing you do... is WAIT... & waiT & WaIt & wAit... constantly there'll be a pretty nurse walking by and asking if you need any drinks or snacks. *winks*

Before you enter the operation theatre, that's the last thing to don is the mask. He's ALL SET~!

Good Luck, Jon! U're lucky to have me around. I was ALONE when I get in cuz his dad went out for lunch... *Fernie is a brave gal, Jon is a hardworking man at work...*

Erm... about the operation... I think it's kinda gross to describe it. Your eyes are opened throughout the op, but it's totally painless, EXCEPT the part when they pull the sticker off my face that was used to keep my lashes away. *sobS* ~_~ Dun worry nor be afraid... the laser part lasts only about few seconds.

But most importantly... DON'T MOVE, or else you'll injure ur eye like this stupid boy who got so tensed up in the op room. He moved his eye during the suction procedure & I reckon he burst some of his eye blood vessels. No pain thou, it takes 2 weeks to recover. (He claims he has X-ray vision now... *bullsH*T)

About 10 mins later, you're done! & ready to head home to rest.

Dun forget to take home your goodie-bag. It consists of a Refresh Plus, 3M tape, Lid-care wipes, & sleeping pills. Only 1 Refresh Plus is free & they claimed it's trial pack, we bought the rest. The 3M tape is for your eye shields while u sleep for first 2 days. Wipes to be used before and after ur zZzZz... & Lastly the sleeping pills for you to zzzZzz when u get home. Seriously, without the pills, I can't rest. My eyes just kept tearing after the OP. It's kinda sore...

Transformer... More that Meets the EYE

My eyes are no longer painful the next day & tadah!~ I'm ready to show off my new shades~! YEAH~~~
