I've decided to present the Life-Saver Award to the munchies I bring around when I'm overseas. Waking up in the middle of the night, I realised the room service is only available from 6am to 12midnight... & it's expensive... unlike Singapore, it's not safe to roam around in the night, even if it's nearby, to hunt for food too... So I took out my "drystore" pack. IT contain all the instant stuff

Touched down from Melbourne since Tuesday morning. Changed away 2 flights with Alicia babe last week. Cuz Alicia's bf, Daniel, was flying to Johannesburg & so happened I had a JNB flight. Gave that flight to her so she can enjoy a nice trip with Dan. In return, I had Wed-Fri OFF. COOL!

Well I've not gotten a chance to fly to JNB since I started flying, but I do remember the good times I had there with my aunties when I was 15. I told myself that I will be back for more of the Safaris and sightseeing. I think this time I shall target to tour South Africa with Jon instead! I believe we can have much more fun there.

Anyway, October is a lousy month of financial flow... Leave during Sep and that Biz-class training end Sep have once again made me feel the NO FLY NO $$$ pain... Now I'm worried again. The stupid planning gave me allocated leave next Mar & I already applied and got 1 week in Apr. Mar & Apr??? Damn.. history will repeat itself again. But I told mom I can go for a short trip with her during Mar cuz that falls under school holidays too. *hmmm... should I???*

I finally stepped into Virtuoso Arts yesterday. 1st time meeting Agnes after speaking to her over the phone last week. Well, I didn't start my lesson yet, cuz she got me all mixed up with her other students. & also I bo-idea-ly never clarify with her the details cuz I know she's very busy. Anyway, no hurry for me. She claimed that her brain is "all programmed for keyboard" lesson. Instead we went to Kiliney for a cup of coffee & tea cum getting-to-now-u session. Well she's really bubbly and full of energy & that energy is really influencial. Other than getting to know her very great deal of achievements, I think there's a nice bond for the student & teacher. *hee* & also we met her dentist there at Kiliney.

The best part about this coffee&tea session is I found a company dentist whom I'm confident at. Just nice he's expert in cosmetic and surgery. The last dentist I met and talked much regarding asthetic was bro's friend, Keith. 1 thing in common, when these dudes talked about achieving that perfect smile, u can see the glow in the eye & they really go into details. *AHaA* That's what I'm looking for. Gonna set a date soon for some cleaning up... As for that Hollywood Smile thingy... *DAMN* I seriously dun wanna be in more liabilities (L)... I still got my (L)asik to clear... Even though the dentist said that I can get 50% discount cuz I'm a SIA staff or perhaps arrange with the bank to be charged at interests-free installments, this whole thing is really expensive... Veneer per tooth w/o discount costs $1000-1500 (subject to material used too). Come to think of it, I got 4-6 teeth... you can imagine!!!

Well ah... take it easy Fernie... u gotta learn how to be thrifier... *cheers*

IT's been like more than 1 month since I last blogged...

Gonna hold a flea market soon at Tanglin Mall on 20Oct. Hopefully can get rid of most of the things I dun need and no longer in use. May I have some good returns on that day. Haha

Well, I've been flying officially for 1 year... & for the first time I've experienced lost in another country. Last flight was to Melbourne. This time we stayed at Crown Promenade. It's a nice hotel, other than the fact that it's a brother of CROWN Towers. Everything is new, cosy, nice, and nothing to complain.

SO I took their first shuttle bus out at 0930 with 2 crew and headed out for some food and shopping. Who knows my first payment made at Cotton ON had made me realise I didn't bring my debit card out & my cash on hand is less than $15 ~_~ Damn... I left the crew and wanna go back to the hotel to get more $$$ and my CARD.

"about every quarter to the hour..." That's what the driver told us if we were to get return the shuttle back to the hotel. So I waited at Saville since 1030...

1040 I'm just too early...

1045... no sign of the shuttle...

1050... I wonder if they come...

1055... I'm feeling cold...

1103... is that the minivan??? No CROWN logo leh... is that the one??

The minivan zoomed past me without shopping nor slowing down at Saville. I got a strong feeling it is the minivan for the hotel.. It has no logo thou. It stopped at a nearby traffic light. I tried to catch a glimse of the driver, but it soon drove off before I can catch up. DAMN! I missed...

Feeling cold and lost... I went off to other streets cuz the street I'm at is the least busy I supposed... I asked around for busstops from a few Asian/Chinese. They dunno either... I approached a shop owner, he suggested that I take a cab as it would take about 5-6 dollars he claimed. Left with that bit of money, I really dun wish to spend much on transport. I dunno how long will it take to walk back... I'm really too tired and cold to think... sigh*

So I decided to take a cab cuz it will save all trouble... the driver told me it would take about $10 to get back to the hotel. Ok forget it.. I'm just down with luck. Just take me back... & I shall stay in the hotel!

When the cab drove past the hotel, I saw that minivan I missed at Saville. It's that same vehicle. I feel so frustrated to just go straight back to my room, so I walked back to the concerige and questioned them about the pickup time at Saville.

"It should be around 1052."

...I was there... (I was there lo...)

"Did you see the blue vehicle went past?"

Yes I was at Saville since 1035... IT just drove pass me. HE was fast & I didn't got a chance to catch it.

"Oh... I see. Please let me check with the driver."

Anyway, I took a cab back...

"I'm sorry the driver is not around at the moment. Could you wait for awhile?"

...

"Erm... By the way, do you have the receipt?"

No... (Why? I can claim back is it, if I know I can, I would HAVE. Anyway, it doesn't matter anymore.)

"The driver is not around... blah blah blah blah"

(Ah.. damn you... I shall NOT WAIT anymore.) Nevermind, it's alright...

Well seriously I dun really know what I want from them since I have no one to confront at the moment. No receipt... No proof... Just a pathetic situation which none of them understands... I just feel upset and so down on luck.. **** & so irritated for the fact that I have to be in the cold and wait...

I went back to my room and never go out after that.. Calls from Jon and room service were my savior. Sigh I am the one who was to be blamed... Who asks me to bring 2 purses and leave 1 behind? Who asks me not to trouble others (the crew) when I'm in need? Sigh... the last time I came to Melbourne was last year or beginning of this year. Ren sheng di bu shu + no $$$... first time in my life I felt that way... It a lesson learnt and I will not let this history repeat itself again!
